Trott, Dunn dangerous in the slot
Auburn is looking for dynamic playmakers for its new spread offense.
Assistant coach Steve Ensminger thinks he has at least two he can rely on at the inside receiver/tight end position in senior Robert Dunn and junior Tommy Trott.
Dunn enters the start of preseason practice as AU's starting 'H' receiver and projects as a big part of this year's offensive attack after catching just 19 passes last season.
"Robert had a great spring and he's a guy who we think is a dynamic football player that has to touch the ball so many times a game," said Ensminger.
Trott, who has just 14 career receptions, should thrive in an offense much more suited to his skills. He enters fall as the starting 'Y' receiver.
