The rich got richer today at Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Texas. Already one of the more talented teams in the Metroplex with at least seven Division-I prospects in the 2009 class, Lancaster has now picked up a transfer from one of the top wide receivers in the state of Texas, Skyler Scott.

Scott grew up in Lancaster and already is friends several of the current Tigers. He has been to several different schools during his high school career but he looks as though he will be finishing off where he started at Lancaster.

"It became official today," Scott said. "It'll be fun because I played there before but now this is the class I grew up with all my life and played little league with and stuff. It'll be great. I got my helmet and stuff the other day."

Lancaster has four, potentially five Division-I prospects in the secondary in the class of 2009 and there are likely two more in the class of 2010. However, Scott thinks he will have a chance to play on both sides of the ball for the Dallas-area power.

"I also play some safety and corner," he said. "I'm looking to start. I want to play offense but with this team I'm going to want to play some defense."

Despite his activity on the defensive side of the ball, Scott excels at receiver and that is where a host of major programs are recruiting him to play. The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder has been struggling to narrow down his choices.

"I have a new offer from Illinois," he said. "I've got interest in them but I don't know anything about them. I did have favorites but right now I really, really don't know. Kansas and Texas Tech, those are my favorites that I know the most about but I don't really know if that's where I want to go. I'd like to get an offer from Texas and LSU. I'd like an offer from Hawaii too."

Despite his indecision, Scott hopes to have the process ended by the start of the season.

"It's really me and my dad's decision," he said. "I should decide pretty soon, like before the season."
