MORGANTOWN--West Virginia multi-kicker Pat McAfee was working out with holder Jeremy Kash and long snapper Adam Hughes on Tuesday when Kash provided Mac with a weekend weather forecast.

"'Hey, I hear we may be playing in a hurricane down there', he told me. I told him, 'Cool.' In some ways, I'm a hurricane. You could call me Hurricane Pat," said the ribald Pat.

McAfee is a reporter's dream as he fills notebooks with quirky thoughts about himself and life in general. But when it comes down to his chosen pass-time, he is as serious as a Mortty Ivy open-field tackle.
