Tiger defense scores again
Auburn's defense is not just one of the best in the nation holding opposing teams out of the endzone, they're also racking up points on their own.
The Tigers' defense scored their third touchdown of the season against Tennessee Saturday when defensive tackle Jake Ricks fell on a Jonathan Crompton fumble in the endzone that gave AU a 14-6 second-quarter lead.
Ricks nearly had a TD as a freshman in 2006 when he picked up a fumble against Mississippi State and rumbled for 31 yards before being stopped at the 4-yard line.
This time, Ricks got his touchdown.
"They went a weak zone. I had to go inside the A-gap and they fumbled. I fell on it and scored," Ricks said.
"It was amazing. It was a dream come true."
