What sold Harris on staying in-state?

BuffStampede.com Colorado became the first program to offer Jack Harris a scholarship last December.
The 6-foot-6, 270-pound offensive tackle from Parker (Colo.) Chaparral listed the Buffaloes as his early recruiting favorite.
But then a host of other colleges entered the mix.
Oregon, Texas Tech, Washington, Arizona State, Vanderbilt and Colorado State all extended a scholarship offer.
"There was a brief bit of time this summer that I thought I was going to leave the state of Colorado for college," Harris admitted. "I really thought Vanderbilt or Oregon would be the right place for me. That was my thinking for a little bit of time during the summer."
What sold him on wanting to stay in-state?
