Steele junior receiver getting noticed
Cibolo (TX) Steele junior wide receiver Sheldon McClain can be somewhat of a forgotten man on the football field. That's not necessarily a bad thing as his Knights are off to a 5-0 start. With sophomore running back sensation Malcolm Brown rushing for over 1,000 yards already, the Steele coaches are perfectly happy keeping the ball on the ground most of the game.
However, that's not to say that McClain hasn't done his part. While he certainly wouldn't mind a couple more receptions, the 6-foot-3, 185-pound speedster has taken full advantage of every opportunity he has been given.
"We don't really throw the ball a whole lot but, when my number does get called, I make the catch," said McClain. "Other than receiving, I have kick returns where I contribute as well. Pretty much every time they kick it to me, it's a long return."
