AU suffering identity crisis on offense
Change, change, and more change.
We've heard it almost every week in regards to Auburn's offense. But in the end, the results have been similarly bad.
But this week, Auburn's first "off-week" since the start of the season and a few days removed from the firing of offensive coordinator Tony Franklin, head coach Tommy Tuberville is promising real change.
Really, I swear.
"We'll have a plan. We'll start that plan this week," Tuberville said. "As we go, we'll get better at it. This time in two weeks, we won't be deviating from it. We'll be in here saying: Hey, it worked, it looked good, we're going to keep doing it or well, it's not very good but it's what we're doing and we'll keep working on it.
"These guys want to get better."
Franklin was fired on Wednesday morning, and Tuberville said there wasn't enough time to implement many changes last week with just two practices and a walk-through.
But AU is off this Saturday and doesn't play at West Virginia until Thursday, Oct. 23.
