Lamothe gives official visit high marks
Texas A&M played host to their first official visitor of the year this past weekend. Bucking a recent trend of commitments making their visits in January, New Iberia (LA) linebacker Michael Lamothe decided to visit Aggieland on a game weekend. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound A&M commit had a Thursday game and arrived with his family in College Station on Friday afternoon.
Lamothe received his first taste of what Texas A&M is all about when he attended Yell Practice on Friday night. It was an experience that he says left an impression on him.
"It went real well," Lamothe said of the visit. "Friday night, we got to go to Midnight Yell Practice. We were surprised at how many turned out. It was really loud and we had a lot of fun. We were surprised at how loud it was, actually. There were a lot of students there so you could tell they're really into the football program.
