Phoenix (Ariz.) Desert Vista five-star defensive Devon Kennard is out, but not down.

Recovering from season ending knee surgery, Kennard is scheduled to be 100-percent by next spring. In the meantime, the nation's No. 1 defensive end has to decide where he'll be next fall.

In September, Kennard acknowledged the potential impact his injury could have on his recruitment. Two months later, his top five college choices of UCLA, Cal, Arizona State, Texas and USC, continue to stand by their scholarship offers.
