Johnson Has New Interest, New Offer
Throughout his early recruitment Eddie Johnson has walked hills and valleys. Nowhere has that been more evident than the attention from his two long-time self-professed 'leaders', Texas and Okahoma. The Sooners took note of Johnson last summer during their camp in early June, just a few weeks later he was in Austin to try and make an impression upon the Longhorn coaches.
It seemed for quite some time that the impression had not been made with almost zero contact from Texas' coaches. However that has changed over the past few weeks.
"Everything has been good, I finally talked to Texas and they were talking to me about how they do their offers a little bit different. They said during their junior year they are going to offer five guys, and I'm in that top five under consideration," Johnson explained.
"Coach said he is going to offer during that junior day, that's basically what he told us, he told me and the coach from my high school. It's very exciting, just to sit up there and hear him saying something like that. To work so hard and finally have it paying off."
