Four-star running back-athlete Tavon Austin had wanted to pledge to West Virginia's Mountaineers for several weeks, but earlier this week finally received his mother's blessing, so Monday night he did the deed.

Fellow 4-star Deon Long, a wide receiver from Washington (D.C.) Dunbar, texted head coach Bill Stewart's cell phone number to Maryland's all-time leading rusher, and soon Austin was on the phone with Bill Stewart, telling the main Mountaineer that he was coming to Morgantown.
