Onwukaife hoping for an offer
Cedar Park defensive end Holmes Onwukaife has been a frequent visitor to Texas A&M over the past couple of months. He attended several games at Kyle Field as well as a junior day in December.
However, the 6-foot-3, 220-pound defender came away with a completely new and much more detailed view of Aggieland after this past Saturday's junior day. Despite a large turnout, he felt that it was a smaller group than it truly was.
"It was really, really great," Onwukaife said of the junior day. "Some of the experiences like getting to be in the individual position meeting rooms, that was really, really good. It was kind of a close-knit group right there."
The ultra-athletic junior made the trip with his father and the two came away impressed with the emphasis placed on academics.
"He loved it," said Onwukaife. "He feels it's a great academic school and the amount of space solely dedicated to academics was outstanding. There's an entire part just devoted to football and we walked through and toured all the rooms for tutoring and everything.
