Gabbert visits Iowa junior day
Missouri quarterback Tyler Gabbert was among the many visitors at Iowa's first junior day of the year this past weekend. The 6-foot-0, 185-pound Gabbert, who the Hawkeyes offered back in September, enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with the Iowa coaching staff, including head coach Kirk Ferentz and offensive coordinator Ken O'Keefe.
The junior day marked Gabbert's fourth visit to Iowa City in the past year after attending camp, an August practice, and a game in Kinnick Stadium last season. Currently, the Hawkeyes remain heavily involved in his recruiting.
Still, getting Gabbert will be no easy task. After throwing for 1,846 yards and 18 touchdowns during his junior year, the quarterback is receiving interest from across the country. In addition to his offers form Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri, he had heard from Kansas, Rutgers, Wisconsin, Oregon, UCLA, and Tennessee, among others.
