Auburn wins second straight SEC game
Tay Waller and Lucas Hargrove had 14 points apiece to lead Auburn to a 75-62 win over Arkansas Wednesday night in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum.
"We found our shooters, we rebounded the ball pretty well and Tay made a couple of shots," Hargrove said. "When Tay starts making shots, it's over."
The win moved Auburn to 15-9 overall and 4-5 in the conference, tied with Ole Miss for third in the SEC West.
"Each one gets us a little bit closer," AU head coach Jeff Lebo said. "We got a big one coming up here at home against Mississippi State.
"I like the way we did it tonight. It wasn't the so-called stars that helped us win the basketball game."
The Razorbacks led by as many as 10 points in the second half but a 15-2 run midway through the period put the Tigers back in front. After a couple of lead changes, AU would control the final four and a half minutes.
