Mississippi State has found a way to respond to disappointing losses this season.
The Bulldogs have had four losses that stand out against Charlotte, San Diego, Ole Miss and most recently LSU. They have rebounded from those first three losses with a big win and now hope to do the same thing this afternoon against Auburn at 4 p.m. on Fox Sports South.
MSU is coming off a heartbreaking double overtime loss to LSU on Wednesday now falling two games out of first place in the Southeastern Conference Western Division with a 6-3 mark inside the league and are 16-8 overall.
The Bulldogs have won 13 of the last 15 meetings with Auburn including the last four. State's last six wins in this series have been by an average of 17.5 points. However, the Tigers still hold the all-time series advantage 67-62.
State is averaging 74.8 points per game and are shooting 44.7-percent from the field. The Bulldogs are also hitting 37.8-percent from behind the arc and also 70.8-percent from the free throw line. They continue to lead the SEC with 8.3 blocks but are being outrebounded by 0.9 per contest. Mississippi State is surrendering 66.9 points to their opponents.
