East Texas receiver gaining offers
Daingerfield High School, located in the heart of East Texas, didn't quite get the preseason accolades of other top class 2A programs in the state. However, the Tigers proved their doubters wrong with a convincing 26-8 win over Cisco in the state championship game.
Though the team had plenty of offensive firepower, perhaps the player that gave opposing teams' defensive coordinators the biggest headaches was junior wide receiver Chris Jones. The 6-foot, 172-pound speedster did a little bit of everything in the Tigers' spread offense. Colleges took notice of the small-school standout and he currently holds three offers, one of which came very recently.
