Denzel McCoy didn't need a phone call from Charlie Weis to learn about Notre Dame.

The defensive tackle has been following the Irish since elementary school, ever since he saw "Rudy" for the first time. Now that Notre Dame's head coach has made a personal investment in McCoy's recruitment it's verified what this 6-foot-4, 275-pound athlete already knew about the Irish.
