Warchant.com is getting its subscribers ready for the start of Florida State's 2009 Spring Practice with updates and previews on each position. The Seminole football team will take to the practice fields for the first time in a couple weeks.

The position coach: Jimbo Fisher, entering third year at Florida State.



Frontrunner: Christian Ponder
Class for 2009 season: Junior

Size: 6-2, 216 pounds

2008 season: Took control of offense in first season as a starter. Passed for 14 touchdowns and ran for four more. Racked up 423 rushing yards to go with 2,006 passing yards.
