Sooners Land First In-State Commitment
While many by standards simply assumed that Oklahoma was all but a foregone conclusion for Mustang, Okla. offensive lineman Bronson Irwin, that hasn't stopped him from picking up offers from some of the nation's top programs. Alabama, Auburn, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and several others have extended offers to the 6-foot-5, 322-pound blocking machine from West Oklahoma City.
However, as of late all of that recruiting attention had started to wear on Irwin and on Thursday afternoon he put an end to it.
"Me and my family have been thinking about it and been praying about it. I felt deep down in side that (Oklahoma) the place for me," Irwin said. "It was almost like every offer since they offered hasn't been quite as special to me."
