Is Michigan State still in the mix for Zeigler?
BLOOMINGTON - While Keith Appling put on another offensive show at the Adidas May Classic over the weekend in Bloomington, he was not the only in-state standout who displayed plenty of offensive fireworks.
Mt. Pleasant junior guard Trey Zeigler was one of the offensive standouts of the tournament, as he averaged over 30 points a game during the three-day event.
At times Zeigler put Team Detroit on his back. He helped lead the team to the semifinals of the Gold Bracket where they fell to eventual champion SYF Players out of Northwest Indiana.
SpartanMag.com. caught up with Zeigler after Sunday's draining loss to SYF.
"We had a pretty good tournament overall," Zeigler. "We finished up 4-1 overall and had a final-four run. We were pretty proud of that we just ran out of gas in that last game."
