Ponder stepping into Fisher's shoes
By NCAA rule, college coaches are not allowed to attend voluntary workouts or the informal 7-on-7 passing drills that take place during the summer.
And while that sometimes leads to uneasiness for the coaches, who might wonder if all the players are on the same page, that shouldn't be much of a concern for the 2009 Seminoles.
After strength and conditioning coach Todd Stroud and his staff conduct the conditioning exercises, Florida State has a new "coach on the field" to help with the passing drills.
That "coach" is junior quarterback Christian Ponder.
