Ware considering Eugene visit
It takes a special athlete to play quarterback in the Oregon offense. A quarterback who is capable of running or throwing it and can make the right decisions to lead a team with offensive firepower all over the field. Spencer Ware looks like that kind of player.
The Ducks have made no secret of wanting an athletic quarterback to run their offense and they've offered a scholarship to Ware. He's just under 6' 0" and at 215 is built like current Duck starting quarterback Jeremiah Masoli.
Last year the product of Princeton High in Cincinnati threw for 15 scores and ran for another 17. With his ability to make guys miss and toughness as a runner, Ware is a threat to score every time he touches the ball.
Ware confirmed that he holds an Oregon offer and has regular contact with the Ducks. "It's with Chip Kelly and he mostly emails. Right now I plan on taking a trip to LSU either later this month and then after that I'm planning to take other visits." As for what he'll use to make his decision, the 4-star rated player says, "It's mostly the coaches. The players and the atmosphere are big too but it's mostly the coaches and the atmosphere. I'm going to know where my official visits are before the start of the season."
With the skills to make an impact on either side of the ball Ware talked a bit about where he'd like to play. "I'd like to play on the offensive side of the ball. But if I can get playing time and the right kind of coaching then I'd be more than happy to play on the defensive side."
