Once a Bear, now a Tiger
The wheels for Tristan Holt's commitment to Missouri actually started turning more than a month ago. That's when Gilmer, TX defensive back Braylon Webb gave his pledge to the Tigers. Webb is Holt's first cousin. And after two months on the Baylor commitment list, Holt made the decision to follow his family to Columbia next year.
Holt said it was a tough call to make to the Baylor coaching staff, but he had spoken to the Bears' coaches. Holt is a 6-foot-0, 185-pound corner with 4.4 speed. SicEmSports.com recently named him the most impressive prospect at all of Baylor's summer camps.
Holt had attention from most of the Big 12. He held offers from Texas Tech, Louisiana Tech and SMU, but had become the Bears' first commitment on April 6th. What led to the switch?
Holt becomes Missouri's eighth known commitment for the Class of 2010.
