Pitt showing interset in St. Ignatius quarterback
The recruiting class of 2010 has been filling up for the Pitt coaching staff, but there are several positions they would still like to fill and quarterback is one of the top focuses for offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti.
Cignetti's search for a signal-caller has led him to Cleveland and St. Ignatius High School, where senior-to-be Mark Myers is poised for a breakout season after spending last season as the backup to Penn-bound Andrew Holland.
"We had a senior last year, so I only played in spot-duty this past year," Myers told PantherLair.com this week. "I started four or five games my sophomore year when he was hurt, but I learned a lot from the sidelines, and since I started those games in my sophomore year I'm pretty confident about this season."
