GRAND BLANC, Mich. - Elite 11 quarterback Joe Boisture was just one of a number outstanding in-state athletes in attendance at the press conference of Grand Blanc receiver Tony Jones, who announced that he will play for Northwestern.

Most of the buzz at Grand Blanc on Friday before the press conference was that Jones would select Northwestern over Michigan State, which finished second to the Wildcats out of a list of 21 schools that offered Jones a scholarship.

Boisture, who would have been at the Jones press conference no matter who his close friend chose, was slightly disappointed that he will not be throwing the ball to Jones in college. But the Spartan commitment was also happy that his friend of several years chose the school that best suited his ability as a receiver.

After congratulating Jones on his decision, Boisture was gracious enough to go on camera for a 1-on-1 interview with SpartanMag.com.
"I was looking forward to it and I thought that he was going to State all of the way," said Boisture. "Northwestern is a great school, there are no complaints about it. He will do great there. T.J. is a great kid he was on my little league team. We tore it up and went undefeated. Academically he is great, values he is great, and he is great on the football field. He will fit in great at Northwestern with the 5-wide that they go. When we play Northwestern it will be a great time. Hopefully we can get the 'W' but before the game we will be chatting it up."

After discussing the decision of Jones the interview moved into a discussion of the Elite 11 Quarterback camp that Boisture participated in earlier this summer. Boisture also spoke with SpartanMag.com about a number of other topics including his upcoming season.
