Malena talks injury that sidelined him from TV gam
On Saturday, fans all across Texas and the entire United States were finally greeted with football again. The prime time national broadcast on ESPN of the game pitting Cedar Hill against DeSoto was something that people had circled on their calendars for some time. With a myriad of Division I prospects and commitments in the game for both teams, there was a lot of talent on display.
Texas A&M fans were looking forward to seeing four-star Cedar Hill running back Ben Malena in action. The first player the Aggies have ever pulled out of the rich program, Malena was expected to carry the offense on his back. After scoring his team's first touchdown, however, the 5-foot-9, 201-pound back was injured on the next series and was out for the game. He said it was a bit tough to watch his team's thrilling 44-41 come from behind victory from the sidelines.
