Did Vols Make Impression on Riggs?
Tennessee has already made an impact on the recruiting trail in South Florida in the Class of 2010, but it's a theme that the Vols would like to continue. In pursuit of that goal, the Vols hosted a couple of premier prospects from the area on Saturday, including four-star cornerback Cody Riggs from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Ft. Lauderdale.
Riggs (5-foot-9, 156 pounds) had been a player high on the Vols' wish list in the secondary since the staff first started looking hard at the Class of 2010.
The Vols seemed to secure some early interest from Riggs, but at the same time the feeling was that they were lagging behind some other programs--namely Georgia and Florida--in the pursuit of one of the South's top corners.
Did Tennessee shorten the gap this weekend?
