Newsome hearing from all over

It's almost like clockwork.

Every year, or so it seems, the Hampton Roads region of Virginia produces at least one top-notch quarterback prospect. The Vick brothers, Ronald Curry, and more recently, Tyrod Taylor and E.J. Manuel, all developed their respective skills in Southeast Virginia.

The Class of 2009 is no different, and the next great Hampton Roads signal-caller could be Chesapeake (Va.) Western Branch quarterback Kevin Newsome.

The junior already holds one in-state offer, and has garnered interest from some of the nation's top programs.

Newsome has an offer from Virginia Tech. Other schools recruiting him include Oregon, Maryland, Florida, Stanford, Penn State, Alabama and Colorado.
