Five still lead for New York RB

Endicott (N.Y.) Union-Endicott all-purpose back Jordan Thomas is spending a lot of his time these days coming up with a summer schedule that will put the coming months to good use.

Thomas will not be able to visit all of the schools he is most interested in, but he hopes it's a productive time.

"I haven't securely made all my plans yet. I think I'm going to try to get down to Florida for that night camp. I'm trying to get over to UConn, and I will be going down to Rutgers' camp soon," Thomas said.

Earlier in the month Thomas talked about five schools that had sparked a lot of interest in him thus far.

"That's still the case," he said. "Oregon State, Rutgers, UConn, Pitt and Syracuse.

"I haven't visited UConn, but I'm trying to get over there. I want to visit Oregon State, but I've seen almost all the rest."

Thomas said he would have to wait until the season for official visits begins before he is able to take a trip to Corvallis, Oregon.

Will he wait that long to make his decision?

"It all depends on what everything looks like. It depends on whether I'm ready to decide or not."

Academics and playing time are the two factors Thomas cites as the biggest in his decision.

He said he has also been entertaining interest from Miami of late.
