Williams, Wannstedt to meet
Mike Farrell
Rivals.com Football Recruiting Fairless Hills (Pa.) Pennsbury wide receiver Eric Williams has a pretty good idea of what the football program at the University of Pittsburgh is all about.
He's spent some time around the school and the program, and given his proximity to the campus it's easy to understand why. Despite his familiarity, Williams wants to learn more. That's why he's slated to meet with Pitt head coach Dave Wannstedt later this week.
"Lately I've just been getting ready for my senior season. We've got our Bigger, Faster, Stronger program and Crossfit for speed and agility.
"I don't have any official visit plans yet but I am going to Pitt on Wednesday to meet with coach Wannstedt. I'm not even sure what it's going to be about. My parents talked to him and he just wants us to come down, meet him, talk to him and get to know him a little bit.
"I met him before when I went to the Pitt camp. He just said, 'Hi, nice to meet you. I've heard big things about you. Hope you impress me.' Things like that. We didn't really talk too much.
"I actually do already like Pitt. They're a good team, a good program and they have good academics. They meet all my standards."
Williams said he is planning to take some official visits in the fall.
