Peterson Ready for In-State Offer
It has been said that patience is a virtue.
If true, Wagoner (Okla.) cornerback Kevin Peterson could teach a whole lesson on the subject.
After turning in yet another successful performance last week at the Sooners 2011 Football Camp the 5-foot-11, 170-pound pass defender walked away from Norman without a Sooner offer despite turning in one of his better camps of the summer.
"I think everything went really good. I think everything went really smooth in all the drills we did and in all of the one on ones we did really well too," said Peterson.
"(Coach Martinez) told me the same thing he told me when he came and watched me practice here in Wagoner. He told me that they really like me a lot but they had already offered some guys and they would have to wait for something to open up."
Something of which the Sooner State's eighth ranked player in the class of 2012 has no problem dealing with.
He's been waiting to add to his two offers Arizona and Tulsa for a while now.
"The waiting game does not matter to me. I'd just rather earn my spot than have it handed to me," said Peterson.
