Clay's in the mix
It's not often that the Texas Longhorns look to the state of Wisconsin for recruiting prospects, but it's also not often that a player the caliber of John Clay pops up on the radar.
The Rivals100 running back is one of the top players at his position in the entire country, and he's made it known for a while that Texas is a school that was on his mind.
The 6-foot-2, 222-pound Clay was one of the top performers at last weekend's Columbus NIKE camp, and he's now holding offers from Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, Ohio State, Illinois.
Recently, the Longhorn staff has been reciprocating Clay's interest, and the blue-chip runner said this week that the home-state Badgers and Texas are the two teams sitting atop his wish list.
