Nuss talks about his commitment
For the past several weeks offensive lineman Andrew Nuss of Ashburn, Va., stated that he had a favorite school but wouldn't name the program. He still hasn't named that mystery leader but he did end the recruiting process on Thursday by verbally committing to play for Notre Dame.
"It was a tie between two (schools)," Nuss said. "But, obviously I picked Notre Dame."
Despite receiving his offer from Notre Dame less than a week ago, Nuss chose the Irish over offers from Boston College, Georgia, Maryland, Virginia and several other programs.
"Coach (Peter) Vaas told me to be patient and I was," he said. "I'm extremely lucky. After talking with coach (Charlie) Weis, I knew that it was the place for me. It's the tradition and Coach Weis plus the degree that I will receive."
