VT still in the hunt for Rivals250 DE
Rivals250 defensive end Tony Tucker recently cut his list of favorites to ten and Virginia Tech is one of the schools to make the cut. The 6-foot-2, 225-pounder out of Washington, D.C., St. John's likes quite a few things about the Hokies.
"I really like their defense. I'm a big fan of it," he said. "From what I've seen, their defense gets to the ball. If you want to play defense, that is a great school to do it at.
"As far as academics go, they are a very good school too. I also like to talk to the coaches. They continue to send me a lot of letters, showing me love. I especially like coach Wiles, my recruiter because he's a laid back guy and has told me that I'm one of his favorite defensive ends on their recruiting board. I was very excited to hear that and it's good to now."
To date, Tucker hasn't made a trip to Blacksburg.
"I haven't had a chance to see the campus yet, but I really want to go sometime," he stated. "I'm hoping I can get down there for a game this fall."
