NU Notes: Glenn back, but Octavien and Sievers out
Sophomore running back Cody Glenn made it back to practice on Wednesday, but junior linebacker Steve Octavien and sophomore linebacker Clayton Sievers remain out with hamstring injuries.
Head coach Bill Callahan said Glenn appears to be back at full strength, but both Sievers and Octavien are most likely out for this weekend's Kansas game.
"Cody practiced today and Steve is continuing to rehab," Callahan said. "I don't know how long Steve is going to be out. Maybe a while now, maybe a long time, I don't know yet. We'll just have to take it day by day. It's a hamstring."
Callahan said that hamstring injuries are hard to read and with Octavien and Sievers it will be a day-to-day process.
"I don't know (on hamstrings)," Callahan said. "That's why I really lean and trust on our medical staff to give me information. They do a great job of treating our players, so I can only go by what they tell me."
Running backs coach Randy Jordan said that Glenn was anxious to get back on the practice field on Wednesday after missing most of last week and not taking part in the last two games.
