Venables breaks down the 2007 class
Oklahoma signed 20 recruits on national signing day. Of those 20 players, ten will be used to help out on the defensive side of the ball. The Sooners also signed a kicker to take over for kicker Garrett Hartley in 2008.

Frank Alexander DE
6-5, 235, Baton Rouge, La. Southern Lab School
Brent Venables: He's probably our most physically mature of all the freshmen defensive ends. All of our defensive ends are very similar in stature. They're all rangy, they're long and athletic. They're all basketball players.
Frank has a high motor and he's a very intelligent player. He'll have an opportunity right away to get in the mix.
David Anderson DE
6-5, 220, Lawton Mac
Venables: We believe his best football is ahead of him. When he's dedicated to football year-round, we feel like he'll really grow in the weight room and improve his football skills. He's not one of the five-star players that everybody knows about but we feel, in time, he can be a contributor.
