Releford rolling right along
Four-star guard Travis Releford is closing out his junior season at a high level and his recruitment is busy as ever. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound shooting guard from Bishop Miege (KS) is taking his time and looking for the right fit at the next level.
According to L.J. Goolsby, Releford's AAU coach, things are going well as the season comes close to an end.
"They started really well and jumped out to a good start but then they moved him around a little bit and experimented with some things and wasn't playing very well. He struggled. But they moved him back to his natural position (at the two) and they've been 9-0 since then. He's done very well in that stretch."
Goolsby said Releford averaged 23 points, eight rebounds and five assists over the last nine games.
"He's playing really well and doing what he does best," Goolsby said. "Travis can fill up a stat sheet."
Releford, the No. 43 ranked player in the class of 2008, has been a popular player to see this season.
Kansas, North Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas State have all been in to see him this year and showing a good amount of interest, Goolsby says, while Arizona, Connecticut and Louisville are also in the picture.
