Ashaolu discusses his commitment
The commitment of Olu Ashaolu has heightened the buzz surrounding the Rutgers 2008 recruiting class. The native Canadian, now playing his ball at the Christian Life Center in Houston, spoke about how he arrived at the decision to come to Piscataway.
Ashaolu can now breathe a sigh of relief as the recruitment circus that surrounded him has come to a close. He can now look forward to his final year of high school without the worry of where he will spend the following four years.
This summer will be a busy season for Ashaolu. In addition to the various AAU tournaments and camps that will take him all over the country, he will also be part of the Under-19 Canadian National Team. Ashaolu will travel to Serbia where he will represent Canada and compete in the FIBA World Basketball Championships, but despite receiving such an honor, Ashaolu is still focused on improving his game over the summer.
