Cooper has Michigan interest
Michigan recruiting has made a resurgent effort in the state of Texas in recent years, and the Wolverines continue to work hard in the Lone Star State with the current crop of junior prospects. Among those to receive serious attention from the Maize and Blue, Dallas (Tex.) Skyline safety prospect Keanon Cooper is a member of the Rivals250 to Watch for 2008.
While Cooper has spent much of his time playing defensive end and linebacker in high school, the Wolverines are recruiting him exclusively for the safety position, an area of great need for the recruiting class. Michigan demonstrated its interest in late April when they offered a scholarship - a development that took Cooper by surprise.
