Lewis engineering an Iowa State visit
The recruiting process for Aldine (Tex.) outside linebacker Anthony Lewis has been rolling along nicely with nine scholarship offers having already been extended. Now, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound prospect is starting to set his official visits and is looking at Iowa State as a recipient of one of those trips.
Lewis already has one official visit under his belt, a Sept. 21 trip up to Minnesota. He will travel to Purdue for his second official visit of the process this weekend and has one set with Nebraska for the weekend of Nov. 9. Iowa State appears to be the next school in line to host Lewis.
"I think Iowa State had one [planned] in December," said Lewis. "I don't know too much them. I know they've been losing a lot, though. One game they told me they had a lot of problems on special teams. I think they will be able to get over the little hump. They are starting everything from scratch and I think they'll be able to fix things up in the years to come."
