Coleman still taking visits?
With Signing Day less than two weeks away the Horned Frog coaching staff is working feverishly to put the finishing touches on the 2008 recruiting class. With news breaking seemingly every hour on new commitments, the last thing recruiting fans have on their minds is the possibility of losing one of their top recruits that is already in the fold.
Rumors surfaced yesterday that one of the Frog's prized recruits, Jeremy Coleman, may be headed to Houston for a visit. PurpleMenace.Com contacted Coleman to get the latest.
"I'm not going to Houston" said Coleman. "I'm not sure where that came from. I'm 100% committed to TCU and I'm not taking any more visits. When I was in Fort Worth on my last visit I really hit it off with Tony Gillespie and Chris Scott, those guys are great".
So what is it about TCU that has him so excited?
"I just love the coaches, they are all great, the school is really nice and the academics are very good there. I love it there and I'm looking forward to getting up there and starting my career".
While talking to Coleman, I broke the news of the newest Horned Frog commitment. When I told him about Chris Scott joining the mix, Coleman was clearly excited.
"Really" ? Coleman said. "That's great, I need to call him, I'm really excited right now. I like him a lot, he's a real cool guy".
With TCU putting the finishing touches on the class, Coleman has his eye on one player that he would like to play alongside, Tony Gillespie.
"Man, I like Tony, he's great. He and I were watching film with Coach Bumpas and he's a really smart player. He was very knowledgeable of what was going on in the film. Coach was showing us how he would use us together and how he thinks we would be a dominating pair of defensive tackles. That would be really cool to get to play beside him".
With Coleman securely tucked away, the Frog coaching staff can continue focusing on the task at hand. Securing a top notch 2008 recruiting class, and they're clearly on their way
