Freshman Q&A: Bradham on his first real action
With Toddrick Verdell going down with a groin injury early in the Colorado game, Nigel Bradham saw his first extended action for Florida State on Saturday. The true freshman linebacker spoke to Warchant.com and others in the media about how he performed against the Buffaloes, adjusting to the speed of college, what it will be like going against Miami for the first time and more.
Q: With your increased role in the Colorado game due to Toddrick Verdell's injury, how did it go for you?
Bradham: I mean, it was a big role for me to try to come in and fill Verdell's shoes. He is a great player, a great linebacker. I have learned a lot from him, and he has been just coaching me up on the sidelines making sure I keep my composure because he knows it's a lot of pressure for a freshman to be out there just thrown in the mix like that. He has been making sure I keep my composure and coaching me up on some things. I know I made some mistakes. I have Coach Amato and a couple of other linebackers to help get me through it, but hopefully he will be able to come back this week so we can have a great game by all the linebackers.
