Georgia d-lineman reeling in offers
Buford, Ga., defensive tackle Jerome Davis is quietly racking up an impressive list of offers.
The 6-foot-2, 255-pounder has accumulated 11 offers from across the country and plans to narrow things down and make a decision before the end of the summer.
Davis has offers from N.C. State, Oklahoma State, Appalachian State, Central Florida, East Carolina, Kent State, Middle Tennessee, Troy and Western Kentucky. He also picked up two offers on Wednesday from Illinois and Ole Miss.
But right now, two teams currently stand out above the rest to the Peach State standout.
"I like Central Florida because their climate was so nice," Davis said. "Their coaches are great and it's a beautiful campus. It was also the first school that I visited. When it's your first school you think everything is real nice. Oklahoma State is also a great fit. One of our coaches went this past weekend and said it was a great place to be. I'm looking to commit before August and Oklahoma State is one of the top schools that I am looking at."
Davis also has another school close to the top in Mississippi State. Davis stated that the Bulldogs have given him a verbal offer.
"Mississippi State has given me a soft offer," Davis said. "They said they wanted to see how it goes. They wanted me to come in and camp like a lot of people. I don't want to go to camp because I feel like that if I am good enough and like me that they will take me. I don't feel like I have to go to camp and my dad isn't going to let me go anyway. He just tells me that we are not doing camps."
Davis has MSU among his favorites and is being recruited by his potential position coach in David Turner.
