Washington ready for another MSU visit
Lutcher, La., cornerback Todd Washington will make his third visit to Mississippi State later this month.
The 5-foot-11, 177-pounder already has five scholarship offers but is hoping to land his first Southeastern Conference offer when he visits the Starkville campus once more for the Big Dawg Camp on July 24.
"They've got their top prospects camp coming up on July 24th and I am going to go to that and see what happens," Washington said. "The coaches have been saying that they like me and I guess if I do good at that camp then I will probably get an offer."
Washington already has scholarship offers on the table from Utah State, Arkansas State, Tulane, Tulsa and Louisiana-Monroe.
The trip to MSU will be Washington's second this summer already taking in one of the Bulldogs prospect camps. He really likes what he has seen on his previous two visits from both the campus and the football facilities.
"I've been to Mississippi State twice," Washington said. "I went once just to visit the campus and I went to one of their prospect camps this summer. I give their campus and all their facilities an A. I remember that big new locker room that they have. That was the biggest locker room that I've ever seen. And then I saw the jumbotron, you could see that thing from the highway."
Washington has also camped at Louisiana-Monroe and Tulane this summer and could be making a trip to Tulsa on July 17.
