Tuesday's Top Tigers makes its return to PowerMizzou.com. A player's ranking one week has no bearing on his placement on the list the next week. This is our list of the Tigers who had, in our opinion, the best performances in the 41-7 loss to Texas. For lack of viable candidates, this week's list is a little shorter than the normal 11 players:
Smith led the team with 11 tackles. He had two sacks. He is among the Big 12 leaders in tackles for a loss. And even his penalty for the late hit proved he was still fighting in the second half...which not a lot of Tigers could say.
Alexander had half of Missouri's total receptions and three-quarters of their total receiving yards. He needs some help, but he's doing the best he can to be a one-man passing game. He also did the smart thing on a trick play, becoming the first person in recent memory to follow advice to a T and actually "throw the ball into the stands."
