Talk about it in The Main Board
St. Louis Normandy running back Laurence Maroney is drawing interest from colleges all across the country.
Last season,Maroney ran for over 1,400 yards, averaged 8 yard per carry and scored 13 TD's in the tough Suburban North Conference.
The 5-foot-11, 195- pounder lists nine schools he's considering right now.
"I'm looking at Michigan St., Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Illinois, Kansas St., Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Kansas," said Maroney. "I don't really have any favorites."
Maroney plans to weigh all his options and make an educated decision when it comes time to pick a college.
"I'll take all five visits, and most likely announce on National Signing Day," said Maroney.
"I'm interested in the graduation rates of African-Americans and athletes in general at each school. I want to go somewhere that offers one on one tutoring as well."
Laurence Maroney has received scholarship offers from Missouri, Illinois, and Minnesota.
