May 5: The Pac-12 Media Deal April 26: Women's Hoops SAN FRANCISCO -- Things are looking quite bleak in Berkeley these days, what with junior record-setting wide receiver Keenan Allen on the shelf for Friday's 6 PM contest against Tosh Lupoi, Eric Kiesau and the Washington Huskies. While the Bears still have freshmen Bryce Treggs (80 percent on a sprained ankle), Chris Harper and Darius Powe in the rotation, it's hard to replace the 205 career receptions from the 6-foot-3, 205-pounder. The crew breaks down the circumstances of Allen's injury -- on an onside kick with 1:18 left, Cal down 22 points - as well as what it meant to the game in question and to this week's contest against the Huskies. In our second half hour, we break down Washington and what exactly the Huskies have done well in signature wins over Stanford and Oregon State. What does this upcoming game mean for the team's motivation? What kind of juice does going up against Lupoi bring to the Bears? Could it turn the season around, or make the fall even faster? In our final half hour, we talk about the most recent happenings on the basketball court, including some of the choice bits of scouting and information from the Cal basketball teams' Halloween at Haas and Thursday's Pac-12 Men's Basketball Media Day. We also talk a bit of basketball recruiting, and discuss whether the Bears will go after any more big men before the fall early signing period.
