Campbell talks status of his U-M commitment
The U.S. Army Junior Combine that took place Friday in San Antonio may have been the deepest and most talented collection of prospects from a single recruiting class ever assembled. In an event like that, the cream will rise to the top and Detroit Cass Tech defensive tackle William Campbell proved where he belonged.
The 6-4, 315-pound Campbell's stock took an immediate jump forward on Thrusday, long before he took the field for the combine. Physically, Campbell is such an imposing presence and he looked in just about the best shape of his life when he strode into the combine registration. But the buzz he generated on Thursday was only a precursor of things to come.
