CONSIDERING: Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Mississippi State.
PERFORMANCE: Had touchdown runs of 13 and 15 yards and a touchdown catch of 45 yards in a 68-34 victory over Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus.
STRENGTHS: Showed nice ball skills and ability to high-point the ball on a long touchdown catch. Showed good vision and ability to run with the ball in his hands on two touchdown runs off of tight end "slice" plays. Has a thick, strong frame and showed a lot of versatility.
WEAKNESSES: Bell is not a prototypical tight end. He is not going to overpower anybody at the line of scrimmage. In fact, with his body structure and versatility, he has a tremendous upside as a fullback/H-Back type of player in the right offense. ? BARTON SIMMONS
?FARRELL'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK CONSIDERING: Boston College, North Carolina, Rutgers, Penn, Princeton
PERFORMANCE: Brazinski played center and defensive tackle in a 42-20 win over Voorhees (N.J.) High.
STRENGTHS: Brazinski is a pure center and is an accurate snapper. He plays with good leverage and pad level, and is physical. He is adept at hitting moving targets at the second level and he is a good leader.
WEAKNESSES: Brazinski needs to keep his feet better, as he can get cut or tripped up in traffic when trying to pull or get to the second level. ? MIKE FARRELL
?EVERY'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK COMMITTED TO: Committed to Clemson, but keeping options open because of Clemson coaching situation.
PERFORMANCE: Finished with 273 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns on only 12 touches in 42-20 victory over West Florence.
STRENGTHS: Fastest player in the state of South Carolina, with exceptional quickness, above-average change of direction and good hands.
WEAKNESSES: Needs to add some upper-body size, which will help him shake arm tackles. ? BARRY EVERY
CONSIDERING: Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss.
PERFORMANCE: Three catches for 104 yards while playing both ways and returning kicks in a 68-34 win over Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus. STRENGTHS: Norwood has elite speed, evidenced by 10.6 track times as a junior. He has good height and good ball skills, and has a natural ability to track the ball. He has a fluid stride and huge upside. He loves to block. Norwood sparked several long runs with pancake blocks on the corner, and he is always looking for a second defender to hunt down.
WEAKNESSES: Norwood is skinny and needs to fill out. May not be ready to compete right away at the next level but will be a difference maker in the long run. ? B.S.
COMMITTED TO: Notre Dame PERFORMANCE: Riddick ran for 46 yards and a touchdown in a 42-20 win over Voorhees (N.J.) High.
STRENGTHS: Riddick has quick feet and is excellent in space. He's also physical and an active blocker, and has good hands out of the backfield. WEAKNESSES: Riddick isn't that big and doesn't have the look of an every-down back at the next level. He runs a bit high and sometimes tries to do too much by reversing field. ? M.F.
CONSIDERING: To be determined. PERFORMANCE: Spearheaded the D'Iberville offensive line in a blowout 68-34 victory over Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus.
STRENGTHS: Looks the part as an offensive lineman. Is thick and physical and has a good frame for a guard. He plays hard and aggressive.
WEAKNESSES: Needs to continue to improve his pass-set and his pad level. ? B.S.
CONSIDERING: To be determined. PERFORMANCE: Rushed for 155 yards and one touchdown and made several plays on defense in a 68-34 victory over Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus.
STRENGTHS: Seymour has good speed and wiggle with the ball in his hands. He also showed that he can be a prospect on defense; he was disruptive blitzing the quarterback and has a lot of explosiveness and athleticism.
WEAKNESSES: He is too small to be an impact running back on the next level but has a lot of upside in the secondary. ? B.S.
