Hey man, just did a little more research and I couldn't find one team in the past 40 years that had a player have 70% of his carries.
It is not an easy stat to find on the internet.
Kevin Smith for UCF in 2007 actually set the all time record for carries in a season with 450!!... he was a one man show for that team and still only had 67% of the teams carries. I would be willing to bet any amount of money that Trent Richardson has less than 63% of Bama's rush attempts this season. Especially with all the additional speed and athleticism that is on that roster.
Saban to an extent needs to look out for his players' well being, not just wins and losses. I don't care who you are, 500 rushing attempts in the SEC would put a lot of wear and tear on a guy.
